Happy Easter

Happy Saturday to you all.

Another lovely day here. Got a washing out this morning. Great, love the smell of washing dried outside.

I was inspired by all the spring and Easter cards I've seen recently and so made this for Ellie today.

I used DCWV Spring papers from the TSV years (and I mean years) ago.
I also used a freebie image and sentiment from ???? No idea where. I tend to actually use it for baby cards.

Thanks for all your good wishes for yesterday. We all had a lovely day (yes, it was my birthday) much fun and hilarity ensued. Ellie had a ball singing happy birthday all day long!

Have a lovely rest of the weekend.

  11. Morning Alison, what a pretty card, I am sure Ellie loved it. Glad you had a good day yesterday. It's good to see all these signs of spring, your washing on the line, my crocus daring to open wide in the sunshine, and birds collecting bits for nests. Have a good day.

  14. I love this sweet little Easter card, you are very well organised ! Belated birthday greetings to you glad to hear you had a lovely day. Thankyou so much for your comments, i really do appreciate them. I did a bit of a step by step on how I did the masking on my book but the post was so long i thought I'd leave it out. I might try and do a tutorial just on that technique. X

  15. Hi Alison it's me again, thanks for your comment on the sock blockers. They are in the shape of a sock, as you can see, and the principle is that it smooths out the yarn. Some folk press knitted garments with a damp cloth, but that can spoil the pile, so with these, you put them into the completed sock which will be damp, allow it to dry and you then have a smooth sock, gives a nicer finish, and there are holes in the blocker so that the air gets through. Hope this helps, but if you ever did knit socks, it's not necessary to use them. But it's like card things, I wanted them!!!!, cheers Kate x
