Chronology

Hello everyone.
I hope you are all well and warm and dry.
The weather here in Glasgow is trying to clear. I do wonder however, what that shiny thing is in the sky?

Yesterday on WOYWW I showed the Chronology items from the Docrafts Goody Bag and said my task this week was to make something with it.

Inky and messy is really not me and so here is my attempt.

I distressed the Craftwork Cards blank with Aged Mahogany, Brushed Corduroy and Shabby Shutters Distress Inks.

I then distressed the paper from the pad with the same inks plus a little Peeled Paint.
I stamped the clock in Versamark and put clear embossing powder on it. I also stamped the wee cogs and put some Antique Green Mica Powder on them for another layer or texture.

I stamped the large Urban Stamp on white card and embossed with silver.
I coloured the Craftwork Cards sentiment with the Distress Inks again and added the cogs with Glossy Accents.

I am not sure about it, but I think I'll keep trying cos it make grow on me.

Thanks for looking and please any advice gratefully received, along with your wonderful and very kind comments.

Hope you have a good day. I'm off to do the dreaded ironing :-(

WOYWW

Hello again folks, another week gone.
Back on our travels around the desks of the world.
Julia over at The Stamping Ground likes us to keep it short and sweet so here is my desk.
I bought the Goody Bag from Docrafts this week and have set myself the task of creating something,  no idea what yet, but something!

I will do my best to visit as many desks as I can this week, I am getting better every week. One time I will get to them all. I hope.

Thanks for visiting me today and please comeback again.

Lots of love and happy travels

Rudolph Day ( still late)

Hello again. Twice in one day - I know!
Another post for the Christmas Challenges.
This image is by Ladybugcrafts Ink it's one of the Nikki and Friends range.
I coloured it with Promarkers and Copics and blinged it up a bit on the hat, scarf and boots.
The paper is Dovecraft Christmas Fancy with a coordinating brad from the same range.
Once again the sentiment and the card blank is from Craftwork Cards.
I want to enter this card also into the following challenges.

Stamping For Pleasure- Anything goes

Once again, thanks for looking.  It is much appreciated.

Rudolph Day (late)

Hello all, I hope you had a good weekend. We were busy here the whole time!
Friday was Emma's 19th birthday.  We went for a family lunch instead of the usual dinner as she was working then out partying at night. Then had errands Saturday as usual and babysitting our grandaughter Ellie.  She is just trouble personified and causes mayhem in the house. But wouldn't change her for the world.
I made these cards to try and get my Christmas cards stockpiled aand ready rather than a mad panic mid December  ;-p
The first card is made with LOTV Jenny Bear - All Shopped Out
I coloured it with Promarkers and Copics as usual
The paper was a freebie - Berry Merry by Jennifer Ellory, it was free from Cardmaking and Papercraft ages ago
The sentiment and card blank is from Craftwork Cards.
Now looking at it - the banner wee strip is upside down - what a donut!  Will take it apart later and fix it.

I want to enter this to the following challenges
Crafty Hazelnut Christmas Challenge - Anything goes
Christmas Cards All Year Round
Stamping For Pleasure - Anything goes

Thanks for looking and hope your weather is better than the storm we are having here in Glasgow.

Hello and welcome

I want to say hello and welcome to my new followers. I really appreciate each and every one of you.

I want to especially thank Marie-Louise from Welcome to my world for being so kind to a newbie, as to ask all who viewed her blog to come and see mine. It was so kind and so unexpected, I found myself welling up at her kindness.

Again, thank you for your help, comments and encouragement.

No card so far today,  I am clearing the chaos after my grandaughter Ellie stayed last night.

Much love

TP creation

On my desk on Wednesday I spoke of a project I was in the middle of using toilet paper rolls (TP)

Well here it is. Sorry for the rubbish photos but the light is useless this time of year.

Not sure how I feel about it, though the girls say it's great and doesn't look like its made from loo rolls, ha ha. I may have another go with some more rolls I have been saving.

Please let me know what you think,  I love getting your feedback and have really enjoyed blogging this time. So thank you all for reading this and encouraging me.

Love

I made the card with Lili of the Valley's Emma with Shoes, just like my Emma.

What's on your workdesk Wednesday

Here is my desk this morning.  As you can see there is a work in progress that I will put together later on today, once the airport run is done.
I try to be tidy when crafting but as we all know, sometimes it just doesn't happen.
Thanks for looking and please join in the fun over at The Stamping Ground

Gingham

I made this card using a card in an old issue of Craft Stamper magazine as inspiration. The Penny Black Gossamer stamp was stamped a few times on patterned paper and cut out then decoupaged.
I highlighted some petals with Glossy Accents.
The paper is from Love and Hugs Forever Friends and silver mirri from my stash.
I want to enter this into Sweet Stampin. Gingham challenge.

Monday 14 January 2013

Here is a Scrapbook page made to welcome my grandaughter, it was one of the best days of my life when she was born. She is a wonderful child and a real joy in my life.
I am entering this in the challenge over at The Pink Elephant Challenge
I used K & Co papers, I think they are from the Bailey set, lots of diamantes to highlight the pattern, lots of flowers from stash, again lots of diamantes, a Papermania felt butterfly and Papermania letters. The rub on in the corner - I have no idea where they were from.
This photo is the very first one taken just after she was born, and 2 years on she's still hungry!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Here is my card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge Challenge.
The stamp is an oldie but goodie called How Becoming. It is a good stamp for many occasions,  but especially for male cards. The paper is from a dovecraft male paperpad I think.
The challenge is the January Blues, and I think this fits the bill.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

UK Scrappers 52 card challenge.

I made this New Home card for the 52 Card challenge over on UK Scrappers. I am trying to really get on top of things so this one will come in handy. The sentiment was also new (well never been inked!) The paper was a freebie from one of the magazines (can you tell I'm trying to use up existing stash this year ha ha). I also used a Martha Stewart punch and square and round Nestabilities. I coloured the image with Copics and Promarkers.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking.
Will be back soon with a Christmas card to match the challenge and hopefully with two cards for this week's one.
Happy crafting xx
I also want to enter this to Papertake Weekly Challenge
And to Cute Card Thursday
